We are finally back, everyone it was a chaotic month, but I'm glad to return posting with one of my favorite bands of the third wave. I covered Name Taken before, but this release is special. Their first EP, the Silent Game was released was released under the now long gone Top Notch Records in August 2001.
This CD varies wildly from their bigger release Hold On just 3 years later with Fiddler Records. It captures a more skate punk than anything else, with fast-paced Blink-182 Dude Ranch style drumming. This would change later as their original drummer Brett Meseinbach would step down after this release.
Another key aspect of this release I love is the guitars. It feels more Rufio-esque and adheres more to the nature of all darker emo pop punk bands were experimenting with.
However, despite the differences, you can tell this band was meant for bigger things. Their sound would quickly evolve into a sound I wish the third wave would have kept for years to come.
Within 3 years, they'd sign with @fiddlerrecords and create an underground staple of the third wave
I'm very glad to get my hands on this release it was an all-time grail for me. Shoutout to Facebook punk groups for helping out :)

Anyways after a month of turmoil, I'm glad to finally be back on my page writing and posting photos of bands that I love. Thanks to @kaitie.33 @kayla.harper13 and @amorepazz0 for being so kind during my break and my absence and encouraging me to come back and write!
