Just because it's Christmas soon and I won't be able to post a while, I figured I'd take a look at one of my favorite pieces of third wave merchandise.
The holiday EP was released in the tail end of 2003 to celebrate bands explosion into the mainstream. As a thank you to their street team, 1000 copies of this CD were given out to those who helped them that year.
While being a smaller release, it would be bands last CD until three years later when Devil and God released.
The CD includes acoustic versions of the hit song "The Quiet Things No One Ever Knows" and a soul crushing version of The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot.
In addition to that, we also have a demo version of Logan To Government Center from 2000.
The inclusion of a Deja Entendu demo is amazing, but I wish they had done a full release of these.
The EP closes off with O Holy Night, while not my favourite Brand New track during this time of year. I occasionally play it to set the emo Christmas mood.
As a fan of the Deja Entendu era, I'm so glad to have this, as it adds a nice bow to the end of the iconic year that was 2003 to Brand New.
